Ashesh Shah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Ashesh Shah is President & CEO of Maxx Orthopedics as well as Maxx Medical, a global orthopedic implant company he co-founded in 2004. With operations in 60+ countries including the US, India, Germany, Brazil and China, Mr. Shah has been instrumental in developing the commercial value of Maxx’s IP, leading M&A activities, securing growth funding, and developing the global distribution and supply chain organizations.

As an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania Management and Technology program, Mr. Shah holds degrees from the Wharton School of Business and the Moore School of Engineering. Based in Philadelphia, he continues his engagement with Penn through a variety of regular speaking engagements on entrepreneurship as well as ongoing participation in mentoring programs.

Corey A. Perine, Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Corey Perine is COO of Maxx Orthopedics. He manages global manufacturing for the company’s range of large joint products, including engineering, production and quality management oversight.

Mr. Perine has more than 15 years of general management, business development and international sales and marketing experience in the healthcare, consumer marketing and education industries, with a focus on applying innovative technologies to solve business problems. Mr. Perine has an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Farzin Khaghani, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Farzin Khaghani is CCO of Maxx Orthopedics and is responsible for the commercial strategy and success of the organization. He started his career in engineering and telecommunications before moving into the medical device industry where he has been for over 25 years with the last 20 in orthopedics. Mr. Khaghani has served as VP of Sales, VP of Marketing and President at various private and public medical device companies.

He has served on the boards of two med device companies and is a member of the External Advisory Board for the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering at the University of Maine. Mr. Khaghani holds a BS in biology and mathematics from Cornell University, an MS in mechanical engineering from Boston University, an Executive MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Management, and in 2021 completed his first year of law school.

Anand Bala, VP of Product Development

Anand Bala is VP of Product Development at Maxx Orthopedics. He is responsible for our QRS strategy, communicating the product vision and launch strategy to the global market and surgeon design teams.

Mr. Bala has an extensive leadership career, spanning over 31 years in the medical devices industry with a focus in Orthopedics and Spine. He has direct experience in effective commercialization in tough market conditions and helped organizations gain market share through improving product penetration in key markets across the globe. Mr. Bala has an engineering degree in electronics and communication. He is a trained life and leadership coach and believes in being a catalyst for unlocking the human potential.

Gautam Srivini, VP of Research and Development

Gautam Srivini is VP of Research and Development at Maxx Orthopedics. He oversees the company’s R&D function and the development of the company’s product offerings from concept through commercialization.

​Mr. Srivini is a MedTech systems professional with over 20 years of extensive global leadership experience in medical research and development and commercialization of implantable devices. He is an expert in leading ideation, design, development of implant systems and has launched over 10 implant systems into the global market. He holds a Master’s degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and has a passion for patient clinical outcome, surgeon engagement, innovation, and team building.
